Hydrangea in Bloom
I think hydrangea flowers are just a spectacular flower. The flowers look great throughout the entire year. I particularly love them when they are just opening. White flowers are great to watch as they open over a couple of weeks as you see the colour change from the vivid green into the purest of whites.
Even once they have opened they keep the slightest tinge of green right at the edge of each of its petals. I think they can add great interest to flowerbeds and in this case add a great splash of colour in semi-shady area.
I cannot wait for the coming months when the flowers begin to fade and turn papery and almost coppery in colour.
