Spring Equinox Comes Knocking
Happy Spring Everyone!
20 March marks the spring equinox and the official start of spring. Now days officially start to get longer and brighter! This is extremely great news for gardeners and me in particular!
Even today the day seemed much longer and it meant that it was bright when I came home from college. For me this is great as my garden has been looking very neglected of late and could do with some TLC. The stretch in the evenings will mean I will get the chance to potter around my own garden and do the jobs I have put off …. When I am not writing my thesis of course!!
To mark the official start of spring I wanted to share one of my favourite spring photos from last year with you. This photo of a cherry tree in full bloom was taken on an extremely sunny spring adventure around UCD. Don’t let the photo and brightness fool you though, it was bitterly cold! Hats and scarves were worn and many cups of tea were drunk after the walk.
Hopefully spring 2013 will have just as beautiful sights to behold and hopefully I will get to share them with you!
Beautiful photograph with deep blue sky. I too am glad the daylight will increase so there’s more time to garden or just be outside.

Thanks very much! I love this photo I seem to be using it my background everywhere at the moment! It will be great to have longer days and hopefully have the weather to go out and enjoy them!
